Date: April 10, 2008 To: District Assessment Coordinators District Technology Coordinators From: Pearson Re: Required update to TestNav version 6.4.018
Issue 1: It was found in TestNav, version 6.4.016, that a test cannot be resumed after a sealed section, making it impossible to administer assessments in two sessions or to resume a test if TestNav is interrupted.
Description 1: After a student reaches the seal code screen and exits the test, the student's test cannot be resumed. It will appear as if the student is allowed to resume the test, but the student's screen will show that an item is trying to load continuously (flying folders) and will never display the expected item.
Issue 2: Adobe released a security update to the Flash Player 4/9/08 affecting TestNav.
Description 2: The Adobe release affected the protocol between Minnesota flash-based items and TestNav.
Impact: Required update to TestNav version 6.4.018 for the following platforms:
- AutoUpdate for Windows.
- Full re-install on Mac.
